How to care of your skin before and after Microneedling & Nanoneedling

If you are reading this article, it means you probably already or thinking have microneedling or nanoneedling treatment with us. Microneedling is an innovative cosmetic treatment that uses a device covered with tiny, shallow needles to cause a 'micro-injury'. This prompts the skin to stimulate collagen production. Nanoneedling is another advanced non-invasive procedure that involves the use of nano tips. It uses very tiny cones formed of silicone or stainless steel that do not penetrate the skin but do help with resurfacing and product infusion.

Which treatment suits me

Both microneedling and nanoneedling can easer away fine lines and wrinkles, scars and acne, skin pigmentation, and dark spots. However, nanoneedling works on epidermis and microneedling penetrates into the deep dermis. If you concerned more about fine lines, rough texture, swelling, pigmentation, or sagging skin, the nanoneedling is the better choice. If your skin concerns include deep wrinkles, hypo-pigmentation & dark spot, stretch marks and deep acne scars, then microneedling would be the correct treatment.

Healing Procedure

You may wonder what to expect after the treatment. Well...things may vary from person to person. Normally a sunburn-like feeling is standard within 3 days after treatment. Your skin may feel tight, dry or sensitive. Some redness and slight bruising or even temporary swelling may be present in some cases but won't last longer than 5 days. Peeling may start 3-5 days after the treatment. You will notice skin dryness and flake which is due to an increased turnover of skin cells. You must avoid pick, scratch, or scrub at treated area. You may start your normal skin care routine again from 5 days after treatment or your skin not longer feels irritated. You will notice continued skin improvement over the months following your treatment. For best result, we do recommend repeat microneedling treatment every 6-8 weeks with a series of 3-5 treatments base on your skin condition.
