Updated: Sep 12, 2022

Stabilising smooth and delicate skin condition is not only the desire of most young women, but we also know that such skin conditions will become the foundation for our anti-aging purpose. Review your skin condition, from silken skin around 20-year-old, to the dull skin after 30 plus, until hyperpigmentation and fine lines appear on face after the age of 40, as your age growth, soon or later, your skin condition will getting aged. That's why Non-Invasive skin treatments are so popular in beauty industry on nowadays. Most modern Non-Invasive skin treatments emphasises causing damage within the scope of the skin's regeneration and repair ability, fully mobilising the skin tissue regeneration function, shortening the "downtime repair" time of the skin, and reducing side effects and adverse reactions.

In today's blog, I will introduce several types of popular Non-Invasive skin treatments that use the principle of "reconstruction". Those who are considering to have Non-Invasive skin treatment can learn about it.

Resurface Skin with Laser

Fraxel, Fractional carbon dioxide laser (FCD laser), and Picosecond laser are 3 kinds of popular laser treatments nowadays. All of them use "reconstruction" principle for skincare purposes. These treatments aims to "eliminate" those things that we do not want to continue to exist in the skin with different type of laser. It relies on the use of various wavelengths lasers to target and eliminate specific "target bases" that cause skin problems. such as chromophores or hair follicle.

You may want to try the FCD laser if you facing skin issues includes obvious spots, pigmentation, acne scars, and pits. Fraxel laser is a kind of non-ablative fractional laser working extremely efficiency on reducing pores. Picosecond lasers, which are commonly used to treat pigmentation spots.

The majority task after laser treatment is sun protection, and the secondary task is to keep treatment area moisturised. You should use a hydrophilic emollient of hyaluronic acid, and always avoid using oily products to seal up heat energy and cause discomfort.

Cleaning is necessary for the post treatment period. At this stage, it is recommended to use the repairing cleanser to gently wash the face, and finally dry it with a pressing method.

Regeneration Collagen with HIFU & Radio Frequency

Nowadays when we talk about Non-Invasive anti-age treatment, HIFU or Radio Frequency Prime may just out of people's head. HIFU and Radio frequency are both used phototherapy technologies. Radio frequency uses electromagnetic waves to heat the dermis layer, while HIFU uses ultrasonic waves to acting on the SMAS layer which below the dermis layer.

In medicine, HIFU uses "micro-focused ultrasound technology", which uses ultrasonic waves to focus the subcutaneous SMAS layer to cause micro thermal damage. This tiny damage can be controlled within 0.5 cubic millimeters. The damage size is constant, and the distance between each tiny damage is also constant. These damages will cause SMAS self healing and regenerate more collagen. This results lifting and tightening the skin and finally achieve the effect of skin firming.

Radio Frequency Prime (RFP) is similar with Thermage which does not damage the skin itself, but uses heat to promote and induce collagen synthesis. Both RFP and Thermage can achieve the effect of tightening the skin because the heat energy generated by RF can denature and untwist the collagen, then the denatured collagen can induce a large amount of collagen regeneration and remodelling through body repair reaction.

Rejuvenating by Chemical Peel

Most of people heard "Chemical Peel" before even they never had chance to try in beauty salon. Chemical peel refers to cosmetic acids, which can be used to treat pimples (acne), pigmentation, anti-aging (such as fine lines), dry skin, uneven pigmentation, pores keratinisation, etc.

Chemical peels apply cosmetic acids such as "Salicylic acid, fruit acid, glycolic acid" to act on the surface of the skin, causing controllable damage at different levels of the skin, thereby inducing the reconstruction of the skin surface and dermis structure, and playing a therapeutic role.

Chemical peel need repeat up to 6 sessions for achieving best result, usually with 2-4 weeks apart. The length of the interval mainly depends on the purpose of Chemical peel. If it is for general skin care, it can be done once a month; or if it is for freckle and acne removal, it can be shortened to once every 2-3 weeks.

Safty and efficiency of using these advanced Non-Invastive aesthetic treatments can improve your appearance and solve out your skin concerns. Furthermore, the result of these treatments can last for a long time. After understanding these treatments, you should have idea which treatment you are going to do next, right?
