Our winter skincare tips

Did you noticed a change in your skin during the winter months? Getting drier, more sensitive, and flaky skin? Cold winter weather, low humidity levels in the air, hot showers, and central heating all combine together can easily pull moisture from the skin. On the surface, skin looks dull, feels tight, dry and itchy. At a microscopic level a lack of moisture and oil weakens your skin's natural protective barrier. Leaving it susceptible to invading chemicals causing redness, irritation , and sensitivity.

Layering on extra hydration during colder periods will restore lost moisture and relieve dry, thirsty skin. To look after yourt skin effectively, read on for some tips on how to protect your skin during the colder season.

Tip #1:Using creamy cleansing options

Prep your skin with creamy cleansing optins over foamy cleansers to restore surface moisture. During winter time, all of our facial treatments start to using Intensive Mosisture Cleanser instead of Special Cleansing Gel, the creamy texture enhanced with BioReplenish Complex which helps to remove impurities while actively nourishing dry, depleted skin.

Tip #2: Use mild exfoliation daily

Exfoliation is also key to renewing skin cells to remove dull, flaky skin. We suggest you have our express facial regularly which using Daily Milkfoliant for a calming and nourishing way to smooth skin and remove dulling dead skin. This vegan milky powder exfoliant polishes skin while supporting the skin’s moisture barrier.

Tip #3: Treat skin with hyaluronic acid

During winter season, we always treat our customer's dry skin with a spritz of Hyaluronic Ceramide Mist, a refreshing mist that saturates skin with hydration and locks in moisture to help skin bounce back. Our mist contains four types of Hyaluronic Acid plus ceramides to helping skin hold on to water for long-lasting hydration. Combine using the calming, aromatic Rose Water with antioxidant-rich polyphenols and flavonoids helps to revive and refresh.

Tip #4: Add serums to your winter skincare

The key is add in serums or oils to the Treat step of our facial. This will help to repair the skin barrier – replacing lost hydration or moisture. Normally apply a few drops of Circular Hydration Serum, to immediately flood skin with hydration, replenish from within, and help prevent future hydration evaporation. Contains Hyaluronic Acid, Polyglutamic Acid plus plant-derived sugars to lock in moisture.

Tip #5: Choose correct masque to glowing your skin

For an added boost and Glow, we normally choose different type of moisturisers base on customers' skin type. In general, layer moisturisers and select waterless, richer oil-based formulars for a final layer of protection. For example, our Melting Moisture Masque is a deeply moisturising masque that elegantly transforms from balm to oil to help restore dry skin. Activated by skin’s natural heat, our Melting Point Complex delivers a satisfying melting sensation as it penetrates skin’s surface layers to deeply nourish and rehydrate. Alternatively, we choose Intensive Moisture Balance for combination type of skin. This ultra-nourishing moisturiser restores lipid balance to dry, depleted skin for optimal barrier performance.

For extrememly dry or cracked skin

Suffering with areas of cracked dry skin? Sore nose from a cold, or chapped cheeks from wind burn? We strongly recommond you book a hydration faical treatment. We use barrier repair in the treatment, which is a unique anhydrous (waterless) velvety texture to help shield against skin stress triggers, works like an overcoat for your skin.Remember, think extra layers of moisture as you would extra layers of clothing to keep skin protected and healthy all winter and don't forget SPF as damaging rays are present even when it's not sunny.
